Pasticceria Marnin is a historic business in Locarno, founded in 1989 by Arno Antognini, a descendant of a family of pastry chefs who harmoniously handed down the sweet secrets of generations past, dating back to 1852 in Vira Gambarogno. With passion, Arno and his wife Franca combine tradition and innovation in confectionery. Specialties include pastries and leavened products such as panettone, doves and pandananas. There are three outlets: the first on Piazza S. Antonio with a cozy café, the second on via S. Francesco with a bakery and wood-fired oven, and the third on Ascona's lakefront, specializing in amaretti. Marnin-Ascona is a showcase for Swiss and international tourism attentive to local confectionery specialties.
