Educational trail in the Robiei dam

Description

The educational trail inside the Robiei Dam is a unique experience. The opening to the public of a tunnel inside the dam allows visitors to see from the inside a part of the installations that have profoundly altered the landscape of the upper Bavona Valley.

Dams are imposing concrete works designed by human ingenuity to store the huge amounts of water needed to produce hydroelectric power. This educational tour explains how dams fit into the natural water cycle, their construction, safety control, and the transformation of water power into electricity.
